Number of successful candidates sought: 1490.
Eligibility (section 3):

EU citizenship with full rights

Fulfilled military service (where applicable)

“Meet the character requirements for the duties concerned.” (cit.)

Obtained a university diploma by 30 September 2026: the university studies are at least 3 years

Knowledge of at least official EU languages (thanks Ireland for making English an official language)

a thorough knowledge (minimum C1 level) of at least one of the 24 official EU languages

a satisfactory knowledge (minimum B2 level) of a different language

The languages will be used in different phases of the competition as indicated in Table 1. (section 4.2.d)

Application (section 4.3.1)
The application must be sent through the EPSO website before the deadline.

Fill (once more) all the data required by the competition on the EPSO single account platform (which is different from CAST 😅)
- This is a painful process, so take your time.

By 10 March 2026 at 12:00 (midday), Brussels time, candidates must upload a scanned copy of their valid identity card or passport.

By 7 October 2026 at 12:00 (midday), Brussels time, candidates must upload the scanned copies of all the other documents supporting the declarations made in their application form.

Testing (section 4.3.2)
General remarks

Please note that the order in which the tests are organised may differ from the order in which they are listed in this notice

The tests will be held and proctored (invigilated) remotely. EPSO will inform candidates about the testing

If a candidate fails to sit or complete one or more of the tests, as specified in this notice and/or in the instructions provided to the candidates, their participation in the competition will come to an end (see Section 5 of the General rules).

To proceed to the next step in the competition (see Section 4.3.3), a candidate needs to obtain at least:

a pass score of 10/20 in the verbal reasoning test, and

a combined pass score of 10/20 in the numerical and abstract reasoning tests

EU knowledge test
-
The EU knowledge test is a multiple-choice-question test about the EU, its institutions, procedures, and the main policies. The references to the sources used to develop this test will be made available on the EPSO website after the notice of competition is published.

The EU knowledge test will be organised as indicated in Table 3.

Digital skills test

The digital skills test is a multiple-choice-question test aimed at assessing the candidates’ digital literacy – the ability to understand and use digital technologies for various tasks and purposes, in line with the European Digital Competence Framework ( 4 ) (DigComp)

The digital skills test will include questions from the following areas: — Information and data literacy; — Communication and collaboration; — Digital content creation; — Safety; — Problem solving. (iii) The test will be organised as indicated in Table 4

EUFTE
The EUFTE is aimed at assessing the candidate’s written communication skills. It will be organised as indicated

Candidates will be required to respond to the test assignment(s) based on the documentation related to EU matters. The documentation will be made available on the EPSO website ahead of the test date. Candidates will receive the same documentation during the test, along with the assignment(s) based on it.

The EUFTE is neither a language test nor a test of factual knowledge. The assessment will be based on the specific anchors published on the EPSO website.
Test scoring and eligibility check (section 4.3.3)
The test scores will be used as indicated in the table indicated below:

Should a candidate fail to obtain the required pass score(s) in one of the tests, their participation in the competition will come to an end. Such candidates will not have their test answers and/or scripts processed any further and will not have their eligibility checked.

Candidates who fail to sit or complete all the tests (see Section 4.3.2 above and Section 5 of the General rules) will not have any of their test answers and/or scripts processed and will not have their eligibility checked.

Test results will only be notified to candidates at the end of the competition (see point 4.3.4(d)), irrespective of the stage of the competition the candidate reached.
